Introduction
My name is Gabriela, but everyone calls me Gabby. My fiance, Cody, proposed on Christmas Eve Eve during dessert on our date night before we were supposed to meet my aunt at the local airport. As a surprise to me, my other aunt and her husband came along for their holiday trip.
For our wedding, we're going the traditional route - where the bride's parents pay for the wedding, and the groom's pay for the rehearsal dinner. My parents and I sat down and looked at our finances. With two college tuitions to pay, everyday bills, and my two year old son, we don't have a lot to spend on a wedding - much less a big wedding. We're expecting at least 75 people, and as many as 100-115, and a $3-4,000 budget to do it.
